On Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 18.30 at the event hall "Aleka Sioulis" of the Pampeloponnisian Stadium, the cake cutting of the Cultural & Environmental Association of Drosia Tritaia "GIANNIADES" took place. The attendance of our fellow villagers was great, with many smiles and wishes for the New Year.
The New Year's pie was blessed by: The representative of our Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Chrysostomou, Father George (he conveyed to us the wishes of His Eminence and wished happy birthday and health to all), and the vicar of the community of Kouberi – Drosia, Father Panteleimon with his own wishes.
The event was honored with the presence of: The Mayor of Erymanthos, Mr. Theodoros Baris, who referred to the fighters
"GIANNIADES", in the events that with the cooperation of the Associations take place in the villages, giving life, joy, hope to those who remain in them and to the cooperation that exists with our Association. With them from the Municipality of Erymanthos the President of the Municipal Council Mr. Nikolaos Martzaklis and the Municipal Councilor for the Culture sector Mrs. Eleni Christodoulopoulou. The Deputy Regional Governor of Rural Development, Mr. Andreas Filias, who stressed the active presence of the Region in local problems, the need to support especially young farmers, the events organized with great success by the Region for the heroes of 1821. The Regional Councilor Mr. Adamopoulos Theofanis, of the combination "United We Can", and the Regional Councilor Mr. Kotronas Nikolaos of the combination "Together We Change". In their intervention, they stressed the actions of the Association, the action of the "Gianniades" fighters.
Mrs. Maria Kanellopoulou, representing the Association "Mills" of Begoulaki – "Eagles of Moria" and the Association of Three-Child Families, referred to the cooperation of our Associations for the honor of the historical events that have taken place in the wider area of
Tritaia – Erymanthos and the city of Patras. Mrs. Afroditi Skaltsa-Dimitrakopoulou from the theatrical group "The Travelers of
Prose", who performed a theatrical performance in the village. Mr. Konstantinos Kanellakopoulos, local Councilor of our village.
The Argentine Tango Dance Department "Peri Choro Emmelia" also participated in the event, presenting us with representative samples of these Latin dances.
