Subject: Construction of a \"Playground\" in Drosia.<\/p>\n
Mr. President, Mr. Mayor, Mr. Party Representatives, The construction of infrastructure in a former Community today is hindered by the adequacy of funds available to each Municipality at that time, due to the lack of allocation of Funds by the Central Government.
\nFurthermore, any predisposition, cooperation that the Municipality could have with the former communities in the construction of these infrastructures (such as the construction of a playground), is hindered by the lack of these funds from the Municipality's own resources, which could upgrade the villages, offer entertainment to the Children who remain in them.<\/p>\n
It was with great satisfaction that we were informed about the relevant announcement of the \"Ministry of Interior\" that enables Municipalities to join Programs for the upgrade of their \"Playgrounds\", by participating in the \"PhiloDemos ll\" program.<\/p>\n

Taking into account that as a Volunteer Group of \"Friends of Drosia\" next week the Community Clinic starts operating, which with our own funds we staffed in everything needed in infrastructure, equipment, in the next few days we will install (also with our own funds) the cables for the supply of Electricity to the area and to the Church of Ag. Athanasiou, space we are setting up to start the
\nMay 2018<\/p>\n
We ask: In case a new \"Playground\" cannot be built in our village, you could transfer to this location, a used \"Playground\", while replacing old infrastructure (based on the notice) with new, more modern infrastructure. Mr. President, Mr. Mayor, Mr. Party Representatives, The construction of infrastructure in a former Community can begin, it can be done in many ways as long as there is cooperation between us and you, in order for our village step by step to acquire the infrastructure it is entitled to and must have.<\/p>\n

\nThe Ministry of Interior invites the municipalities of the country to submit proposals in order to join the Program for the upgrade of playgrounds 13\/03\/2018<\/p>\n

\nThe Minister of Interior, Panos Skourletis, signed today, Tuesday 13 March 2018, the decision to activate the \u20ac70 million budget call. \u20ac for the \"Supply and Installation of Equipment for the Upgrading of Playgrounds of the Municipalities of the country\" under the Special Program for the Support of Municipalities \"PhiloDemos II\".
\nThe Ministry of Interior invites the municipalities of the country to submit proposals in order to be included in the Program for the upgrade of playgrounds with the aim of improving the services provided in the field of entertainment for minors. The programme shall run until 31 December 2019. The deadline for submission of applications is 31 May 2018.
\nThe eligible costs shall be:
\n\uf0b7 Any kind of expenditure related to the supply and installation of playground equipment.
\n\uf0b7 Any kind of expenditure for the supply and installation of a safe floor of playgrounds, based on the current legislation.
\n\uf0b7 Any kind of expenditure for the supply and installation of appropriate and adequate lighting, based on the current legislation.<\/p>\n
The amount of funding per beneficiary (municipality) is formed on the basis of the following criteria:
\na) In municipalities with a permanent population of up to 1,500 inhabitants, an amount of 130,000 euros.
\nb) In municipalities with a permanent population of more than 1,500 inhabitants:
\nb1) An amount of 200,000 euros increased by an amount equal to the permanent population of the municipality, provided that there is no settlement of more than 5,000 inhabitants.
\nb2) An amount of money corresponding to 90% of the sum of 200.000 euros plus an amount equal to the permanent population of the municipality, if there is at least one settlement of more than 5.000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n
The aim of the Ministry of Interior is to give a substantial boost to the operation of certified playgrounds on the basis of new, modern safety regulations that tighten the standards for the protection of children. The announcement of the aid has already been received very positively by the elected officials, who estimate that they will manage to reopen a very large number of playgrounds with the help of multifaceted funding and the substantial procedures foreseen. This is the third call issued recently under the \"PhiloDemos II\" programme, which has an approved budget of EUR 240 million. euro for 2018.<\/p>\n
With this challenge, a total of EUR 180 million is now available to municipalities. \u20ac for the supply of construction machinery, the maintenance of school buildings and their courtyards and the upgrading of playgrounds. Together with \"PhiloDemos I\", whose actions are expected to be gradually activated in the coming period, it is planned to be put in the
\nAllocation to municipalities of a total of EUR 740 million. for 2018 with targeted actions that have a direct and tangible positive impact on the daily life of citizens. \"PhiloDemos I\" has a budget of \u20ac500 million. for 2018 with the possibility of expansion to \u20ac2 billion. over five years. The program will be implemented by the Ministry of Interior, with funding from the European Investment Bank and the cooperation of the Consignments and Loans Fund. The two new financial instruments, designed in collaboration with the<\/p>\n
Ministry of Economy and Development, come in addition to the existing possibilities of additional support of the work of Local Government Organizations, by the Ministry of Interior, which subsidizes the payment of their debts, as well as projects due to emergencies.<\/p>\n
