Central Square "Giannia" of the village
The plane tree (Platanus orientalis) was recorded by the "Institute of Culture of Messinia" - within the framework of the Anniversary Research Program "1821-2021", under the auspices of the "Greece '21" Committee - and was registered in the "Network of Perennial Trees of the Greek Revolution" and is now included in the list of seventy-one (71) Historical trees of the revolution of '21 in the Peloponnese region. An Anniversary Marking – Plaque was made at a simple event on 08-09-21, (the first marking of a century-old tree in an area of the European network "Natura 2000").

The holly tree of the revolution with a perimeter of 3.80 m. is located in the courtyard of the chapel of Agios Athanasios. Its age is estimated at 400 years. It was recorded by the "Institute of Culture of Messinia" - within the framework of the Anniversary Research Program "1821-2021", which is under the auspices of the "Greece '21" Committee - and was registered in the "Network of Perennial Trees of the Greek Revolution" and is now included in the list of seventy-one (71) Historical trees of the revolution of '21 in the Peloponnese region.
